Why Creative and Media?

I completed and degree in Creative Digital Media with Drama and Performance Studies in May 2008. I have always enjoyed working with young people, have coached kids between the ages of 5-11yrs, I ran drama workshops and have worked on the Do It 4 Real Summer Camps for the YHA. Teaching is something I have always been interested in and I am excited about being involved in the Diploma, however, I have much to learn regarding the subject knowledge which is relevant to course. Between September and December 2009 I have set myself targets to gain further knowledge in the following areas:

1. Audio and Radio.
2. Media key concepts.
3. Music production and sound engineering.
4. Broadcast journalism including radio and podcasting.
5. Creative and Media Diploma exam boards and specifications.
6. Functional Skills.
7. National Curriculum at key stage 3 and key stage 4.
8. GCES exam board specifications.
9. Use cubase or another sequencing programme to create a back track.
10. Operate basic functions in a recording studio.
    

Following entries will show the knowledge I have gained in these areas.
